Mikaela Andrews, a Charleston native, always knew that she wanted to help those who needed it most. After graduating from the College of Charleston in 2018 with a B.A. in Psychology, Mikaela opted to attend the Charleston School of Law to better serve those in need.

In 2021, Mikaela began working at the Shealey Law Firm and quickly realized her passion for criminal defense. She was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in the fall of 2023 and admitted to practice in the Federal District of South Carolina soon after.

Mikaela was selected to attend the National Criminal Defense College’s Deryl Dantzler Trial Practice Institute and graduated from the extensive program in the summer of 2025. There, she learned every aspect of successfully trying a criminal case so as to better serve her clients here in South Carolina.

Mikaela has worked closely alongside Luke and Brian Shealey on a myriad of cases, representing those charged with minor offenses, to the most serious violent crimes, and everything in between.

She strives every day to build meaningful client relationships and prides herself on her ability to be supportive, understanding, and compassionate of those she represents. She takes her role as a “zealous advocate” very seriously and feels as though protecting her clients and upholding the Constitution is truly her calling in life.
